The reality

Your insurance just lowballed you.

The check arrived. The number is wrong. The adjuster used "comparable" cars that aren't comparable, ignored your trim level, skipped the upgrades, and undercut your real-world market value. Accept it, and you eat the loss. That's the model.

What we do about it

We document what your car is worth, and make the insurer pay it.

We're independent, certified, and we work for you. We produce the kind of defensible appraisal report that insurance carriers don't argue with. They pay. Most of our clients walk away with thousands more than the first offer.

What we handle

Three claim types. One specialist.

We chose to be excellent at the disputes that matter most: the ones where insurance carriers count on you to give up and accept their first number. We don't.

Total Loss Disputes

Your insurer says your car is totaled, but their valuation is short by thousands. We invoke the appraisal clause and document the real number.

Frequently asked

Answers, straight up.

No legalese. No filler. Just the things people actually want to know before they call.

What is diminished value and can I claim it?
Diminished value is the loss in resale value a vehicle suffers after being repaired from an accident, even when repairs are done perfectly. In most U.S. states, if the accident wasn't your fault, you can file a diminished value claim against the at-fault driver's insurance. An independent appraisal documents the loss with comparable market data so the insurer can't dismiss the number.
What does an independent auto appraiser do?
An independent auto appraiser is a certified, third-party expert who values a vehicle without working for the insurance company. We inspect the vehicle, pull comparable sales data, and produce a defensible written report used to dispute total-loss offers, prove diminished value, document damage, or establish market value for loans, probate, and legal cases.
How do I dispute a total-loss offer from my insurance company?
Most auto policies include an appraisal clause that lets you invoke an independent appraisal when you disagree with the insurer's total-loss value. You hire your own appraiser, the insurer hires theirs, and the two reach an agreed value, or an umpire settles it. A documented independent appraisal almost always raises the final settlement.
How much does an independent auto appraisal cost?
Independent appraisal fees vary by case complexity and vehicle type, but most claims pay for themselves several times over in additional settlement dollars. We offer a free claim review up front so you know whether your case is worth pursuing before you spend a dollar. Call 301-575-4928 for a no-obligation review.
Do I need an appraiser if the accident wasn't my fault?
Yes, especially then. The at-fault driver's insurance is incentivized to pay as little as possible. An independent appraisal documents your vehicle's true pre-loss value and post-repair diminished value, giving you the leverage to recover what your car is actually worth instead of accepting the first offer.
How long does an independent appraisal take?
Most appraisals are completed within 3–7 business days from inspection. Total-loss disputes and diminished value claims typically settle within a few weeks once the report is in the insurer's hands. We serve all 50 states and can work from photos, repair records, and remote inspection when an in-person visit isn't practical.
